About me

*TLDR: Canadian ex-pat living in Paris, designer, illustrator, traveller, adventurer, freelancer, reader, writer, napper…

Coucou!

I’m Bailey, a Canadian ex-pat living and working as a designer/illustrator in Paris.

It’s been a long road for me to finally get to where I am now, living confortably in Paris with my ducks mostly in a row—though, admittedly the odd one might get lost following the sweet scent of pain au chocolat…

I started this blog because I have all the warm and fuzzy feelings for the community of ex-pats in Paris and I’d like to give back.

Everyone has their own reason for moving to Paris but we also have a lot of common interests:

  • Learning French
  • Making friends and connections
  • Deciphering bureaucracy
  • Finding work
I know the road can be tough but I believe in you and I’m here to help.

You can get in touch via my new Beep Honk Go facebook group, but I also recommend you subscribe to my newsletter (below) which is dedicated entirely to you, the Parisian ex-pat, with insights and reflections on our crazy lives in the French capital.

ONE LAST THING….

I really like to draw.

New countries, cities, and experiences are the spice of life and of course serve as wonderful inspiration for artists and illustrators. This blog is the perfect excuse for me to keep sketching.

If you’re interested in seeing more of my work you can check out my portfolio here. Also, many of my illustrations are available in my online store which you can access here.
